Frequently asked questions
Is the end date included?
No. The result counts the days from the start date up to, but not including, the end date, which is the standard date-difference convention.
Why are months approximate?
Months have 28 to 31 days, so a month count is an approximation. The exact day count is always precise.
Can the end date be before the start date?
Yes. The calculator swaps the order and shows the absolute difference, so you still get a positive result.
Does it account for leap years?
Yes. The day count uses the real calendar, so February 29 is included when it falls inside the range.
